Here at the Office of the Ombudsman, we have a new and exciting opportunity for an Administrator in the People and Capability Team.

This role would suit a recent Human Resources graduate, or someone who is keen to provide administration support within a team environment. Our organisation includes people from various cultures, across all age groups and diverse backgrounds, but we all have the same common values and desire to ensure people are treated fairly in New Zealand.

Your role as Administrator will be to help provide proactive and solution-orientated administration support across the team to leverage our day-to-day activities and our work programme initiatives.

You will thrive in a high-volume, dynamic and stimulating environment where attention to detail, high accuracy and the ability to multi-task is essential. You will be a self-starter with lots of initiative, be adaptable and work effectively with a variety of stakeholders.

Ideally, you will have:

  • a relevant tertiary qualification and/or some general administration experience in a corporate environment;
  • sound skills in the use of Microsoft suite of applications (mainly Outlook, Word, Excel) and comfortable with using technology; and
  • strong organising and planning skills with the ability to prioritise work, or meet changed timeframes and deadlines.

Depending on skills and experience, the salary for this position ranges from $44,960 to $67,440.
